Zimoun: Sound Scultures

Contemporary art now is less art and more idea and I think that's what appeals to us about Zimouns work. It's also what's lacking from a lot of art, an idea.

This also falls under Ash's theory that you can take anything, multiply it by 1000 times and you have a contemporary art installation. However the actual end result here is something close to mesmerizing.

We also liked Cyperien Gaillard's Monument of Beer. All that's missing from this is a logo at the end of a case study video and you'd have yourself a nice little Cannes entry.

Yahoo! installs 20 gaming touchscreen games in bus shelters

We often look at the challenge of 'where are people consistently spending periods of time waiting, cueing (being bored) and how can we transform these occasions?'

Public transport always comes in the top 5. Sure this idea from Yahoo could have been ran over mobile but I like the physical collaboration that comes from leveraging the bus shelters.

Taking 'gamerfication' to public transport can only be a good thing!

Facebook Brand Pages for Dummies

We've just posted the follow up to our 10 Facebook Myths Busted presentation. If you want to see all the examples in a readable format you'll need to view it full screen on Slideshare.

We're happy with how this turned out. We'd seen a few "copy cat" tactics and strategies being used on a few pages now so we decided it's better to share with everyone earlier than later.

We'd love if other agencies/digital ninjas shared their tactics in the comments so we might be able to do a Volume 2 of this.

What is the Number 1 Facebook brand page in Australia?

That would be Streets Bubble O' Bill with over 870,000 likes.

He's closing in on the 1,000,000 milestone while Coca-Cola Australia (#2 with 387,000 likes) and Pringles Australia (#3 with 367,000 likes) tussle it out for silver and bronze.

Who would have thought that an little ice cream, that has no advertising for it in over 10 years, would be so popular? What makes this more amazing is that this fan growth is 100% organic. There has been no media driving to the page, just regular content and conversation with the expanding fan base.

The Australian covered the story of the pages origins in June last year when the page was at 340,000 fans.

We're looking forward to celebrating the 1 million fans which we expect to hit in the next 3 months and sharing a more detailed case study on this and many other social media success stories we have been working hard on in the last 12 months.
